The General Manager of Thracean Mining, Mr. Leonidas Bakouras, had the honor of meeting His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, on the occasion of the inauguration of the exhibition “Mount Athos: Beyond the Visible”, hosted at the Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace in Thessaloniki.
During their brief yet particularly warm encounter, His All-Holiness extended an invitation to Mr. Bakouras for an official visit and further discussions at the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople.
Attending the event, upon the invitation of the Deputy Minister of Macedonia and Thrace, Mr. Konstantinos Gioulekas, were Mr. Bakouras as well as Ms. Giota Chatziparadeisi, Head of External and Social Affairs of Thracean Mining
The inauguration ceremony provided a significant opportunity for networking with high-ranking political representatives, local government officials, business entities, and church leadership. During the meetings that took place, there was strong interest expressed in Eldorado Gold’s strategic investment plans in Northern Greece, both regarding the Cassandra Mines and the Perama project.
